Luis Guada MD, is a Stroke Neurologist and a Neuro Endovascular Surgeon with clinical interests in stroke, brain aneurysms, brain and spine arteriovenous malformations, carotid artery diseases, intracranial stenosis, dural AV fistulas, subdural Hematomas, cerebral venous disorders, carotid body tumors. He serves as a Neuro Endovascular Surgeon at Temecula Valley Hospital. Dr. Guada was previously a Stroke instructor at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.Dr. Guada Venezuelan born received his medical degree from the Carabobo Medical School of Medicine in Venezuela. Then a residency in Neurology at one of the top programs in the US at The University of Miami Miller School Of Medicine, a fellowship in Stroke Neurology at a top 10 program The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and another fellowship for Endovascular Neurosurgery from the University of Miami which is a top 3 program in the nation, where he received The Best Fellow teacher award by the Neurosurgery department been the only neurology trained in the history of this fellowship at this institution to received this award.Dr. Guada has published multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters on stroke, has been part of numerous national clinical trials to improve the treatment of patients with cerebrovascular disease.Dr. Guada research interests focus on translational efforts to treat ischemic.Before entering Neurology residency Dr Guada was granted a research scholar position at the world-renowned center for spinal cord injury The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis where he spent 2 years working on stem transplant for SCI and was part of the team that had an IND submission for the FDA to transplant in Humans stem cell for SCI, this work led Dr Guada to multiple publications and national conference invitation. After this 2 years Dr Guada moved to pursue his Neuro Endovascular dream joining the lab of the world expert of Intra Arterial Stem cell transplant for stroke and a leader of Neuro Endovascular stroke field Dr Dileep Yavagal who then serve as Dr Guada career mentor, working in his lab for 4 years, this work granted Dr Guada multiple national and international research awards that he was invited as a speaker.
